Vocalzone Original Throat Pastilles, pack of 24: the black pastilles made with peppermint oil, myrrh tincture and menthol that Vocalzone sell under the line “helps keep a clear voice”. A small box for the dressing room, the workbox or a jacket pocket, for singers, actors, presenters and anyone who talks over noise all day.

The Original flavour is strong and distinctive. Vocalzone say the recipe was first produced as a pastille in 1912 and has stayed largely unchanged since, apart from a 2014 adjustment that made it vegan; the whole range has been registered with the Vegan Society since 2019.

Ingredients

Modified starch (tapioca, maize), sugar, glucose syrup, myrrh tincture, liquorice extract, menthol, peppermint oil, colour (E153 carbon black), glazing agent (vegetable oil (coconut oil, palm kernel oil, sunflower oil), carnauba wax).
