Choosing a strap
- Width: a 2in strap spreads the weight of most guitars; heavier basses can feel better on a wider strap.
- Length: the Polypro's 41-72in range lets you set the instrument high or low.
- Ends: leather ends grip the strap buttons; keep a spare strap in the backline case in case one fails mid-set.
Keep it on the guitar
Strap locks stop a strap slipping off the button. Dunlop Straplok Dual Design buttons still take an ordinary strap if you swap to a spare.
