Something the builder does not cover?
Most one-offs, splits and joins can be drawn as a free design in the builder above. For anything else, describe it and we will price it by hand: say what goes where, the lengths, the connectors and how many you need. We usually get back to you within 60 minutes.

Which cable do you use?
Every cable is Van Damme: Tour Grade and Black Series for audio and speakers, Smart Control DMX for lighting data and TourCat for network. HD Vision video and TourLight fibre builds are on request. Connectors are mostly Neutrik, with Neutrik boots and marking rings, and Rean where they suit the job. Other makes, such as Switchcraft, Amphenol and EDAC, are on request. You pick each connector by what it looks like, and the specification names every part.
Who builds the cables?
Every cable is built to order by workshop professionals, to the design, length and labelling you choose in the builder.
How long will it take?
Every cable is built to order. We confirm the lead time with the workshop and put it in your quote, so you know before you pay. We usually get back to you with a lead time within 60 minutes.
Can you make Y splits, joins and other one-off cables?
Yes. Open "Splits and free design" in the builder to start from a Y split, join, insert lead or fan-out, or choose "Start from blank": pick the cable, put one or several connectors on each end, set the length of each leg and say how it is wired. We check and price these by hand, and a plain cable that matches one of our standard builds is priced straight away.
Can I add labels and coloured boots?
Yes. Each end of a cable, and each channel of a loom or split, can carry a heat-shrink label of up to 20 characters. Where a connector comes with coloured boots or rings, you choose the colour for each channel in the builder; the colours offered depend on the connector.
What is the price based on?
The cable and connectors you choose, the length, the assembly work and our handling. Delivery to UK mainland addresses is included and VAT is shown in the total.
Does free delivery over £100 apply to cables?
No. Custom cable orders are not part of the free delivery over £100 offer on the rest of the shop, because every cable price already includes tracked UK mainland delivery. You pay for delivery once per order, however many cables you add, and the total you see is what you pay.
Can I order several different cables at once?
Yes. Add each cable to your basket, in whatever quantity you need, and check out once. Delivery is shared across the whole order.
Can I return a custom cable?
Custom cables are made to your specification, so they cannot be returned unless faulty.
