Hard case, flight case or roto-moulded?
- Hardshell cases (TGI wood or ABS) protect one guitar for the van, rehearsal room or backline storage, and cost far less than a flight case.
- Aluminium flight cases such as the Scott Dixon Triple carry several guitars on wheels, with slide-rail neck and body dividers.
- Roto-moulded polyethylene cases such as the ENKI X-3 take knocks without denting and use modular soft inserts for each instrument.
Double and triple guitar flight cases
Multi-guitar cases carry two or three instruments as one piece of kit on wheels:
- ENKI X-2: two standard-body electric guitars up to 41.5in (about 105cm) long.
- ENKI X-3: three electric guitars, or two acoustic-electrics or two dreadnoughts with its modular inserts.
- Scott Dixon Triple: three electric guitars on a slide rail, in a UK-made aluminium flight case.
For two basses, see the ENKI AMG-2 in bass guitar cases.
Check the fit
- Count the guitars that travel together. One multi-guitar case is easier to load and check in than two or three singles.
- Compare body shape and length with the internal dimensions on each product page. Universal rectangular cases take most standard electric shapes; shaped cases suit one body style.
- Acoustic body depth needs more room. The ENKI X-3 takes three electrics or two acoustics with its inserts.
- For flying, check the case's weight with guitars in it against your airline's hold allowance.
Unusual body shape? Send us the make and model and we'll check the fit with you before you order.
