Model: Ambient Bungs
Product Features / Specifications

• Pack: 4 plugs (2 pairs)
• Material: clear plastic
• Use: closes the ambient port for full isolation

These are replacement ambient bungs (Ultimate Ears calls them ambient plugs) for UE Pro custom in-ear monitors ordered with the standard ambient option. The pack holds 4 plugs, which is 2 pairs, so there is a spare pair in the IEM case if one goes missing during a changeover.

The ambient port is a small opening in the faceplate that can be opened or closed. With the plug in, UE says the IEMs work as normal with their full -26dB of isolation. With it out, a modest amount of room and crowd sound is layered under the in-ear mix, at the cost of some low-end weight because the seal is no longer complete. UE suggests experimenting at soundcheck to find what works, and spare plugs mean the port can be closed again for the next show.
