The K&M 26010, also known as the 260/1, is a straight microphone stand on a flat, heavy cast-iron round base. It takes up much less floor than a tripod, which suits vocal and presenter positions, lecterns, pits and theatre work. A rubber insert under the base dampens impact noise, so knocks on the floor don't travel up to the microphone.

The two-section steel tube adjusts from 870mm to 1,575mm with a clutch, and the black powder coat keeps it discreet on stage. The top has a 3/8in thread for a microphone clip or holder; a clip with a 5/8in thread needs a 3/8in to 5/8in thread adaptor. K&M list the stand on its own, without a microphone clip, and rate it for microphones up to 1kg.
