While traditionally designed to help retain body heat in emergency situations, an emergency foil blanket has plenty of practical uses throughout the outdoor festival season. Its reflective surface can help deflect direct sunlight, making it a handy temporary solution for shading mixing desks, monitor consoles, equipment racks and other sensitive production equipment exposed to the elements.
For touring sound engineers, monitor engineers, stage technicians and production crews, protecting equipment from prolonged direct sunlight is an important consideration during outdoor shows. An emergency foil blanket can be quickly unfolded and positioned to provide an additional reflective barrier, helping reduce direct solar exposure where suitable.
Compact, lightweight and easy to store, it's an inexpensive piece of touring kit that takes up very little space but could prove incredibly useful when conditions change unexpectedly.
Whether you're working at a festival, setting up an outdoor stage or travelling between venues, it's always worth having one tucked away in your production toolbox.

A little preparation goes a long way. Add an Emergency Foil Blanket to your touring essentials and have a simple, versatile solution ready for those unpredictable days working outdoors.
Please note: An emergency foil blanket is not a dedicated equipment cover or sunshade. When used around audio and electrical equipment, ensure adequate ventilation, avoid obstructing cooling vents, and secure it safely away from electrical connections and moving parts. It is not waterproof or a substitute for purpose-built equipment protection.
