The Evans Pull Cord Drum Key (DAPCK) gives you, in Evans' words, the speed of a power drill with the freedom of a drum key. Two key heads are driven by a retractable pull-cord pulley, so pulling the cord spins the key to fasten or loosen tension rods rapidly. A third, fixed key head works like a normal drum key for fine tuning.

It's built for quick head changes: re-heading a kit at the start of a tour, swapping a split batter at soundcheck, or turning a backline kit round between acts, without packing a cordless drill and drum key bit. The coloured ring shows the direction: red ring facing up to remove a tension rod, white ring facing up to apply it.

The stationary key also handles tuning and any hardware that takes a drum key, so this can be the only key in the stick bag. The housing is a durable plastic, and Evans rates the key for hundreds of drumhead changes.
