D'Addario XSAPB1253 XS phosphor bronze acoustic guitar strings are a coated 12-53 light gauge set for six-string acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. D'Addario rates XS phosphor bronze as the longest-lasting acoustic string it makes, which suits guitars that need to hold their tone across a run of shows or sessions between string changes.

An ultra-thin XS film coats the phosphor bronze wound strings, and the pack notes a polymer treatment on the plain steels as well, giving a smooth feel over the warm, balanced phosphor bronze tone. The strings are built on D'Addario's NY Steel core with Fusion Twist construction for break strength and tuning stability; D'Addario states they stay in tune 131% better than standard acoustic strings.
