Small 5 inch side cutters with a sharp, fine tip, for the trimming jobs where full-size cutters are too bulky. The narrow jaws get in close to the work, so they suit clipping cable-tie tails near the head, trimming thin copper wire when you re-terminate a lead, and snipping component leads after a solder repair on a pedal or DI box.

The blue grips are comfortable in the hand without adding bulk, and the whole tool fits a pencil case, a stick bag pocket or the lid tray of a toolbox. The handle is printed with a “(1mm) dia. copper wire” marking and a “use safety glasses” reminder. As the marking refers to copper wire, keep a heavier cutter for steel guitar strings and hard wire.
