The Soundz Vac-Pro is a portable vacuum cleaner for in-ear monitors and hearing aids, from Soundz, the Athens-based custom IEM maker. It is a handheld unit rather than a bench-top pump: a fine metal needle nozzle on the front draws earwax, dust and debris out of IEM nozzles and mesh filters, so earpieces can be cleaned in a dressing room, on the bus or at home.

Soundz notes that ear wax is one of the main causes of problems with in-ear monitors, and a quick pass with the Vac-Pro after use helps keep sound bores clear between deeper cleans. The unit is lightweight and small enough to live in a fly pack, stick bag or IEM case alongside spare tips and filters.
