D'Addario NYXL 10-46 strings (NYXL1046) are the Regular Light set in D'Addario's NYXL range, its premium uncoated electric guitar string. Against D'Addario's standard strings, D'Addario says NYXL gives higher break strength, better tuning stability and an accentuated mid-range in the 1–3.5kHz region, for more presence and crunch in a busy mix.

Three parts of the design do that work. The core is NY Steel, a high-carbon steel drawn at D'Addario's own wire facility in Farmingdale, New York. The plain strings use Fusion Twist, which D'Addario says helps them stay in tune, and the wound strings use a reformulated nickel-plated steel wrap wire. The gauges match the XL Nickel EXL110, and D'Addario's charts put each string's tension within 0.1lb of it, so swapping between the two on a guitar set up for 10-46 leaves string tension essentially unchanged. Each set carries a Players Circle code, and NYXL strings are made in the USA at D'Addario's New York facility.
