Pro-Gaff® black gaffer tape in the 24mm x 22.8m width is the narrow version of the matt cloth tape crews use for cable runs, stage and floor marks and quick fixes on set. At half the width of a standard 48mm roll it suits thinner cables, neat spike marks and labels that need to stay discreet, and the matt black finish keeps reflections down around cameras, lighting rigs and stage equipment.

It's made by Pro Tapes in the USA from cotton cloth with a synthetic rubber adhesive, and contains no PVC. The cloth tears by hand across the length and the width, conforms to uneven surfaces and takes pens and markers, so it doubles as a label on cases, cable ends and desk strips. Le Mark describes the adhesive as residue-resistant when the tape is removed correctly from suitable surfaces; results vary with the surface and how long it stays down, so test first and lift it once the job is done.
