The Roland SPD::ONE KICK (SPD-1K) is a compact digital percussion pad that puts real kick drum, stomp box and percussion sounds under your foot, hand or stick. It is the kick-focused model in the SPD::ONE range: 22 onboard sounds across 12 banks, with one bank free for your own WAV sample, and a pad you can stomp on for four-on-the-floor beats or play with sticks from inside a drum kit.

It suits the solo guitarist or cajon player who wants a kick without a drummer, the drummer adding a stomp or electronic kick to an acoustic kit, and the DJ or vocalist who needs a simple beat on stage. Put it on the floor or a tabletop, or clamp it to a hi-hat, cymbal, tom or mic stand with the included adapter. Everything is on four knobs (sound bank, tuning, effect and volume), with threshold and sensitivity dials on the side, so there are no menus to dig through at a changeover. The metal body and battery power make it easy to drop in a bag and run anywhere.
