The Big Fat Snare Drum The Original 14" is a full-coverage topper that sits on the batter head of a 14in snare or tom to lower its fundamental pitch and give a deep, fat, 70s-style thud without retuning. Put it on for one song and lift it off for the next, which saves carrying a second, deeper snare or retuning between songs.

It is made from a patented blend of rubber and plastic and works best on medium to high tuned drums. A weighted, rubberised rim gasket keeps it in place, and a thumb cut-out makes it quick to lift off. Big Fat Snare Drum says it removes unwanted overtones and ringing without tape or gels, and makes miking simpler in the studio and on stage.
