The ANENG BT-168 PRO is a pocket battery tester for AA, AAA, C and D cells and 9V PP3 batteries. It runs from the battery being tested, so it needs no battery of its own, and shows the voltage on a digital display straight away: a quick way to sort fresh from flat before radio mics and IEM packs go out on stage.

Round cells sit in the red spring slider against the contacts; 9V batteries press onto the two contacts marked 9VOLT on top. The tester is printed with a scope of application of 1.2V to 4.8V, and the product graphic also shows 3.7V lithium-ion sizes (10440, 14500, 16340, 18650 and 21700), button cells and 6F22 9V batteries.

How to use

  • Round cells: slide the battery into the tester with its terminals against the contact markers.
  • 9V batteries: press the terminals onto the two 9VOLT contacts on top of the tester.
  • Read the voltage on the display.
