Remo Powerstroke 3 bass drum heads are single-ply kick drum heads with a built-in inlay ring around the edge. The bass drum versions use one ply of 10-mil film with a 10-mil inlay ring, which controls overtones and gives what Remo calls a balance of response and tone control. Choose clear or coated in 20", 22" or 24".

Both give focused, warm mid and low range tones; the difference is the attack. The Clear has a well-defined attack, and the Coated a more subtle one. Because the ring is built into the head, you get that overtone control without fitting a separate control ring, which keeps re-heads simple on a shared or backline kit. Remo rates Powerstroke 3 for all playing applications.
