The Jodi-Vac Consumer is a compact bench-top IEM vacuum cleaner for drawing wax, oils and debris out of in-ear monitors and hearing aids. It is Jodi-Vac's at-home model, sized for looking after one or two pairs, so an artist, tech or monitor engineer can clear sound bores routinely and send earpieces away for cleaning less often.

A pink cleaning needle fits the handpiece on the end of the coiled tube. Switch on, then work the needle gently over each sound bore: Jodi-Vac describes it as a “feel your way” job, so you do not need to see into the tiny openings. Wax is pulled back into a replaceable filter, and a ball behind the filter shows that air is flowing. A few minutes after a show or at the end of the day stops wax building up to the point where the IEMs need professional cleaning.
