The Evans G1 Clear 18" bass drum head (BD18G1) is a single ply of 10mil clear film for 18" kick drums. Evans lists the same part as a bass batter and a bass resonant head, so one head covers either side of an 18" kick when you're re-heading a compact kit or packing spares.

Evans calls G1 the starting point for traditional bass drum sounds. It has a very balanced attack, long sustain, bright tone and average durability, with a broad tuning range. Tuned up in the traditional bebop range, Evans says it blends with the toms and gives subtle reinforcement to the bass line; rock and jazz are its listed styles.

Level 360 Technology extends the level playing surface of the head 360 degrees around the drum, and the collar gives even contact with the bearing edge for easier tuning and an extended pitch range.
