The Evans UV2 16" drum head (B16UV2) is a coated, two-ply tom batter for 16" floor toms. Evans layers its patented UV-cured coating over two plies of 7mil film and says the result gives superior impact resistance and keeps its tonal integrity for the life of the head. It was tested extensively with some of the heaviest hitters.

Evans rates UV2 with a prominent attack, shorter sustain, medium brightness and highly enhanced durability, and lists rock and metal as ideal styles. On a 16" floor tom that means a punchy, controlled note, and a coated surface Evans rates to withstand even the heaviest hitters without premature chipping or flaking.

Level 360 Technology extends the level playing surface round the collar for even contact with the bearing edge, easier tuning and an extended pitch range.
