Camera, console and stage use

Camera tape and console tape are both listed uses for Pro-Gaff: a strip across a desk or a camera body takes pen or marker for channel names, settings or operator notes, and the matt finish keeps reflections down under lights. On stage, fluorescent yellow works for marking step edges, exits and set positions, and it fluoresces under UV or black light for UV-lit sets.

Pro-Gaff is made in the USA by Pro Tapes, with a cotton cloth backing and a synthetic rubber adhesive. It tears by hand across or along the roll, conforms to cable and uneven surfaces, and Pro Tapes quotes clean removal from most surfaces. Fluorescent colours can fade with prolonged UV exposure, especially direct sunlight, so treat it as short-term marking outdoors. The same tape also comes on a 50-yard (45.7m) roll.
