The Evans UV1 15" drum head (B15UV1) is a single-ply coated tom batter for a 15" floor tom or large rack tom. One ply of 10mil film carries Evans' patented UV-cured coating, which Evans says gives durability and a consistent texture, so you don't have to worry about the coating flaking, chipping or wearing out.

On a bigger drum, the single ply keeps the long sustain and very balanced attack Evans rates UV1 for, with moderate brightness and more durability than the average single ply; jazz and rock are its listed styles. Choose it for a coated tom that should stay open and resonant. If you want a shorter, punchier note, Evans' two-ply UV2 has a prominent attack and shorter sustain.

Level 360 Technology extends the level playing surface around the collar for even contact with the bearing edge, easier tuning and an extended pitch range.
