The Evans G2 Clear 8" drum head (TT08G2) puts two plies of 7mil clear film on an 8" rack tom, for a warm, clear attack and the fat low end Evans describes. In Evans' words, the G2 blend of depth, sustain and attack makes small toms sing.

Evans rates G2 as balanced in attack with average sustain, a slightly bright tone and moderate durability; its listed styles are rock, pop and gospel. As a two-ply head it gives a small tom a fuller, fatter note, and it's a sensible spare to carry alongside the other G2 sizes on the kit.

With Level 360 Technology, the collar keeps the playing surface level all the way round and sits evenly on the bearing edge, which Evans says makes tuning easier and extends the pitch range.
