For a 16" floor tom, the Evans G2 Clear 16" drum head (TT16G2) gives you two plies of 7mil clear film (14mil in total) with the warm, clear attack, wide-open response and fat low end Evans describes. Evans says the G2 blend of depth, sustain and attack is what makes floor toms growl.

Its Evans ratings are a balanced attack, average sustain, a slightly bright tone and moderate durability, with rock, pop and gospel as listed styles. Fit G2s on the rack toms as well for a matched set across the kit, or keep this one as the floor tom spare in the head case.

Level 360 Technology gives a level playing surface all the way round the collar and even contact with the bearing edge, so the head is easier to tune and has an extended pitch range.
