The Evans G2 Clear 15" drum head (TT15G2) is a two-ply clear tom batter for 15" toms, whether that's a floor tom or a large rack tom. Two plies of 7mil film, 14mil in total, give the warm, clear attack and fat low end Evans describes, and in Evans' own words the blend of depth, sustain and attack makes floor toms growl.

Evans rates G2 as balanced in attack, with average sustain, a slightly bright tone and moderate durability, and lists rock, pop and gospel as ideal styles. If a 15" is on the kit you look after, it's worth putting a spare on the advance list along with the rack tom heads.

The Level 360 collar keeps the playing surface level 360 degrees around the drum, for even contact with the bearing edge, easier tuning and a wider pitch range.
