D'Addario EXL170 nickel wound bass guitar strings are the 45-100 regular light, long scale four-string set from the XL Nickel range. They are bright, round wound strings that the pack describes as giving clear fundamentals with booming, tight lows, and they suit a wide variety of bass styles, which makes them a sensible spare set for the backline box.

Nickel-plated steel wrap wire is wound over a high-carbon steel Hex-Core for a consistent feel from string to string. The set is uncoated, sealed in a corrosion barrier sleeve and packed in a recyclable VCI bag with a D'Addario Players Circle code. Made in D'Addario's New York facility.
