Pro-Gaff® fluorescent yellow gaffer tape in the full 48mm (2in) width is a high-visibility matt cloth tape for marks that people need to see: stage edges, positions, steps and equipment on a crowded stage. It's one of Pro Tapes' five UV-reactive fluorescent colours, so it also glows under UV or black light, which is why fluorescent Pro-Gaff is widely used for floor marking in theatres, on touring productions and in set construction.

Pro Tapes lists safety marking on stairs, exits and sets among its uses, alongside cable hold-down, marking equipment cases and labelling in low-light spaces such as audio booths. The surface takes a marker, the cloth tears by hand across the length and the width, and the adhesive is designed for clean removal from suitable surfaces; test first on anything delicate.

Fluorescent colours are best for short-term jobs. Le Mark notes that UV exposure, especially sunlight, can fade them, and that the true tone is hard to capture in photos.
