The GrooveTech GTJPT1 Jack & Pot Wrench is a compact T-handle tool with three deep, thin-wall sockets – 1/2in, 7/16in and 12mm – for tightening output jacks, pot nuts and tuner nuts on guitars, basses, amps, effects pedals and other audio gear.

Jack nuts are shallow and often sit in a recessed plate where fingers and ordinary spanners can't get a grip. The thin socket walls reach into recessed jack cavities, all three sockets are deep enough for pot shafts, and the 1/2in socket has extra depth for long shafts and tuning posts. The sockets bear on the flats of the nut rather than the corners, and the ends are smooth for working near delicate finishes. For a jack that keeps working loose, CruzTOOLS suggests adding a dab of threadlocker. At just over four inches long, it fits in a gig bag, guitar case or tech drawer.
