Remo Emperor Clear drum heads are two-ply clear batter heads made from two plies of 7-mil clear film. Remo describes them as giving attack, projection and increased durability. Available here in 10", 13", 14" and 16".

The second ply is where the extra durability comes from, which matters under heavy hitting across a run of shows. Remo rates it for tom, snare and bass drum use. Keep the sizes that match the kit in the spares case, and a head that goes at soundcheck can be changed without losing a drum from the set.
