The K&M 259 (order no. 25900) is a short, low-level mic stand with a telescopic boom, made by König & Meyer for close-miking kick and snare drums, guitar and bass cabs, and wind instruments such as saxophone, trumpet and clarinet. The height adjusts from 425 to 645mm with a clutch, and the two-piece boom reaches from 435 to 745mm, so the mic can sit right at the source without a full-height stand in the way.

The boom locks with a T-bar screw, the legs fold into a zinc die-cast base, and the whole stand packs down to 580mm long, which makes it an easy extra for the drum hardware case or stand bag. The boom ends in a 3/8" thread for the mic clip.
