The Dunlop Tortex Standard 0.50mm is the red one: the lightest gauge in Dunlop's colour-coded Tortex range, in the classic standard shape. Tortex is Delrin put through Dunlop's own treatment process, which gives it the matte, grip-enhancing surface and bright, snappy attack the picks are known for.

The soft 0.50mm gauge flexes easily, which suits acoustic strumming, rhythm guitar and players with a lighter touch. Because the gauges are colour-coded, a player can ask for the red ones and get exactly this pick – handy when restocking a pick tin between shows.
