Dunlop Formula No. 65 Guitar Polish & Cleaner comes in a 4 fl oz (118ml) pump spray bottle. Dunlop formulated it to remove what time and exposure leave on the surface of your instrument, and it contains emollients that help restore a rich lustre and keep the finish in a pristine, like-new condition. The label says it is designed for players who play every day.

It is part of Dunlop's System 65 care range, alongside Fretboard 65 Ultimate Lemon Oil for unfinished fingerboards. Use the polish on the finish, and keep a bottle and a clean cloth in the case or the tech's care kit for a wipe-down at a string change or before a show. A little goes a long way.

How to use

  • Spray 1–2 pumps onto a clean, dry cloth, not directly onto the finish.
  • Wipe gently to remove fingerprints and grime.
  • Do not wipe on or around chips, cracks or finish checking.
  • Turn the cloth over and buff the finish to its original lustre.
