Each of the 12 stereo mixes and the main LR has parametric and graphic EQ, which makes the SQ5 well suited to in-ear and wedge monitor mixing. The SLink port connects Allen & Heath expanders and stage boxes or the ME personal mixing system, and an I/O Port takes an optional Dante, Waves or SLink card. SQ-Drive records multitrack at 96kHz straight to a USB drive, and the 32x32 USB audio interface covers DAW recording and virtual soundcheck.

On the surface, a 7in capacitive touchscreen sits above 16+1 motorised faders across 6 layers, with SoftKeys, illuminated encoders and chromatic metering. Channels and mixes can be named, colour-coded and arranged by drag and drop. The SQ MixPad app gives wireless control from iOS or Android, and SQ4You lets performers set their own mixes.
