Pro Glow® Photoluminescent 'Glow' Tape from Pro Tapes is a self-adhesive glow tape for marking stages, sets and backstage areas that go dark. It charges from almost any light source and starts to glow as soon as that light is removed, with no electricity needed, so spike marks, exits and light switches are easier to find in a blackout or between scenes.

The glow comes from a non-radioactive light source built into a flexible vinyl film. Peel it off the liner and press it down: it is conformable, easy to cut to size for spike marks and edge strips, and it can be printed. It recharges an unlimited number of times, and Pro Tapes quotes positive luminance for up to 10 hours from a full charge. The glow is brightest straight after charging and fades over time (see the luminance figures below), so charge it well under the work lights before the stage goes dark.

Pro Tapes designs Pro Glow for indoor safety and egress marking, and Le Mark, its UK distributor, classes it as an indoor safety aid for general use only. Use it as a visibility aid alongside a venue's emergency lighting and signage, not in place of them.
