The Drum N Base Hoop Protector 180 (HP180) is a self-adhesive rubber bass drum hoop protector that wraps over the top, side and bottom of the hoop where the kick pedal clamps on. It stops the pedal clamp chewing into the lacquer or wood, and the rubber gives the clamp more grip so the pedal is less inclined to creep away from the drum.

It sticks on with its own adhesive backing, so there is nothing to drill and no hardware to fit, and the rubber can be trimmed if your hoop or pedal clamp needs a smaller piece. A cheap fix to keep in the drum spares box for kits that get a different pedal clamped to them every night.

Fitting

  • Clean the hoop before applying
  • The adhesive is strong, so position it carefully and avoid touching the adhesive side
  • To remove it later, use an adhesive remover
