D'Addario EJ60 5-string banjo strings are a light gauge nickel set with loop ends, and the set to reach for when a five-string banjo on the backline needs restringing. D'Addario designs the loop ends for a universal fit, and the nickel-plated steel wound string gives a bright tone, a smooth feel and long life, suited to bluegrass and folk.

The EJ60 covers all five strings of a 5-string banjo: plain steel .009, .010 and .013 for the 1st to 3rd strings, a nickel-plated steel wound .020 for the 4th, and a plain .009 for the 5th. D'Addario gives the tensions for gDGBD (open G) tuning, listed string by string below. The plain strings are high-carbon, tin-plated steel, and the back of the pack notes ultra-fine grain high-carbon steel and a hexagonal core.
